  The property itself was beautiful, and you couldn't ask for a better location. It is between Durango and Silverton and provides the perfect base camp location for hiking adventures along the Million Dollar Highway. It was also high end for the price, likely because there are zero amenities near the property, but it was the perfect little getaway. Host could have been better with communication although. Also, the sliding glass door to the balcony was broken, which was mostly annoying because other old reviews mentioned this too, so it should have been fixed after the first person noticed it was broken. Lastly, this wasn't mentioned in the booking or by our host, but there is a list of chores you need to do before leaving which is complete BS. It was in a small text print out on the fridge, thankfully we saw this so we didn't get charged. It felt sneaky, and if we're paying hundreds in fees (not including hotel price), this should include cleaning. Pros and cons to the rental, but would stay again for sure.

  My wife and I decided to ski Purgatory for the very first time. It has been on her bucket list for years. We easily found this lovely little place on line, and were happy it was still available. Since it had a small kitchen, we decided to bring all our food in a cooler. The place was immaculate, and the fireplace was nice and cozy! The mountain views FROM OUR BED were to die for! We loved our stay, and the covered parking was perfect.
  I would suggest the owners replace the sliding glass door since it sticks, and the screen door fell off.
  
  Those were very minor details in my opinion though!

  The room smelled of heavy cleaner when we got there. The bed, sheets and pillows were old and very uncomfortable. When I went to open the slider door to air the room out the screen on the door fell off and the door itself was very hard to move. We were here for a wedding and went to other rooms that were much nicer than ours. I would not stay in this room.
